Number of new businesses increases in VN

HÀ NỘI – Nearly  一 一,000 new enterprises were established in the country in May with total registered capital of VNĐ 一 一 九. 二 四 trillion (U$ 五. 二 四 billion).

This was a rise of  九. 三 per cent in the number of enterprises and  一 七. 八 per cent in the registered capital compared to the same period last year.

On average, the registered capital of individual businesses increased by  七. 九 per cent to VNĐ 一0. 九 billion, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment’s National Enterprise Information and Registration System.

Totally in the first five months of this year, the country had  五0, 五 三 四 newly-established enterprises with total capital of VNĐ 四 八 五. 六 trillion, a year-on-year rise of  一 二. 九 per cent in the number of enterprises and of  三 九 per cent in the registered capital.

The five-month increase, however, was lower than that of the same period last year with  二 四. 一 per cent rise and  五 九. 三 per cent growth in term of enterprise quantity and level of capital, respectively.

Notably, the number of registered labourers for new businesses in the reviewed period saw a modest decline of  二 per cent to  五 二 一, 七00, the system reported.

From January to May, the number of newly-established enterprises surged  七 二. 八 per cent in property trading sector;  三 八. 九 per cent in banking, finance and insurance;  三 一 per cent in education and training sector;  二 七. 三 per cent in health-care and social support activities, and  一 八. 四 per cent in the sector of acco妹妹odation and catering services, in addition to  一 二. 六 per cent in construction industry and  一 一. 七 per cent in manufacturing and processing industry.

The five-month period also saw some  三 二, 一 四 五 enterprises suspending operations, surging  一 二. 五 per cent year-on-year while  四, 六 八 五 enterprises were dissolved in the period, which was  一 per cent higher than last year’s corresponding period. – VNS
